Day Two of IRA Championships

WEST WINDSON, N.J. – Stanford men's rowing competed strongly on day two of the Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championships, with the second varsity winning the CD final.
 
The varsity eight boat took fifth in the AB final, advancing to the lower final that will take place Sunday morning.
 
Stanford's second varsity crew broke out to an early lead and maintained it the entire race, taking first in the CD final and advancing to the upper final.
 
After delays due to inclement weather on Friday, the varsity four raced in Final #4, taking fourth there. This is the first time the Cardinal has raced a varsity four boat all season.
 
The IRA Championships will wrap up tomorrow with the second varsity competing in the Men's Collegiate Second Varsity 8+ Final 3 at 6:00 a.m. PT and the varsity eight competing in the Men's Collegiate V8+ Final 2 at 7:30 a.m. PT.
