Bunker Earns Academic All-America Honor

EUGENE, Ore. – Fifth-year senior Allee Bunker on Tuesday reached a milestone that only a select few Ducks can list on their resume.
 
Already an All-American at second base, Bunker garnered national honors in the classroom for the second time in her career when she was named a second team Academic All-American by the College Sports Communicators (CSC).
 
She is just the fourth player in program history to earn All-America honors both on the field and in the classroom in the same academic year. Alexa Peterson first accomplished that feat in 2013, the incomparable Cheridan Hawkins was a three-time All-American and Academic All-American in 2014, 2015 and 2016, and Koral Costa also pulled off that double in 2016.
 
Bunker, who was a CSC third-team pick in 2022, joins Hawkins as the only two players in program history to win multiple Academic All-America honors.
 
The Huntington Beach, Calif., native has a postgraduate 3.64 grade point average while pursuing a Master's degree in accounting. Bunker had a 3.59 GPA in accounting as an undergraduate. She will complete her Master's degree later this month.
 
Last week, Bunker was named a second team All-America selection at second base by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.
 
Bunker led Oregon to the NCAA Super Regional round for the 10th time in program history. The Ducks finished 2023 with a 38-17 record (14-10 in the Pac-12).

  • Finished her career in Oregon's all-time top 10 for batting average (.367, seventh), hits (285, third), doubles (46, second), RBIs (169, tied for fourth), runs (162, fifth), games (237, sixth) and at-bats (781, second)
  • The second Oregon position player to be a four-time all-conference selection and the fourth overall
  • The first three-time Pac-12 all-defensive player at Oregon
  • Started 177 consecutive games, including 169 straight at second base
  • Had a .969 fielding percentage with 104 assists and has turned 15 double plays
  • Was the 16th overall pick in the 2023 WPF Draft (USSSA Pride)
