Trio of Academic All-Americans

STANFORD, Calif. – Senior Owen Cobb and juniors Carter Graham and Eddie Park have been named 2023 College Sports Communicators Academic All-Americans, it was announced on Tuesday.
 
Cobb and Graham earned spots on the second team, while Park landed on the third team.
 
Cobb, the 2021 Elite 90 Award winner, carries a 3.87 GPA as a management science & engineering major. The native of Seattle, Wash. is batting .325 with 36 runs scored, seven doubles, three triples, six homers and 32 RBIs while starting 55 games for the Cardinal at shortstop.
 
Graham, a science, technology & society major, boasts a 3.58 GPA. The native of Los Angeles is hitting .316 with 60 runs scored, 20 doubles, 15 homers and a team-best 75 runs driven in while starting all 59 games and totaling 24 multi-hit contests and 16 multi-RBI games for the Cardinal.
 
Park carries a 3.68 GPA as a management science & engineering major. The native of San Jose, Calif. is batting .337 with 65 runs scored, 19 doubles, a triple and six homers while posting 45 RBIs. Park, who has started 58 games for the Cardinal, has amassed 29 multi-hit games this season.
 
The 35-man team had a 3.80 average GPA, with the first team checking in at 3.83. Five of the 10 student-athletes with perfect 4.0 cumulative GPAs this year are first team honorees.
 
This season marks the third consecutive year that Stanford has boasted multiple Academic All-Americans. The Cardinal earned three in 2021 (Brendan Beck, Tim Tawa and Brock Jones) and two in 2022 (Alex Williams and Jones). Stanford has now managed 23 total Academic All-America selections since 1972.

Stanford is preparing to host a super regional against Texas beginning Saturday at 3 p.m. from Sunken Diamond.
