LOS ANGELES – UCLA graduate midfielder Ryan Becher has been named the Pac-12 Men's Soccer Player of the Week for Sept. 25 to Oct. 1, it was announced by the league office on Monday.

Becher led the Bruins to an unbeaten first week of Pac-12 play, scoring in both of the team's matches as UCLA took away four points from its Bay Area league rivals. He headed home an Andre Ochoa free kick in the 15th minute of an eventual 2-2 draw with No. 4 Stanford on Thursday, and redirected a Jose Contell cross in the 50th minute of Sunday's 2-1 victory over California.

Becher becomes the first Bruin to take home the league's weekly honor since Tommy Silva on Nov. 15, 2021. It's the sixth weekly award in Becher's career, as was a five-time America East Offensive Player of the Week during his undergrad career at UMBC.

After his two-goal week, Becher ranks second on the team for the season in total goals (3) and points (8). His 78 career points currently rank fourth among active NCAA Division I players.

Becher and the rest of the Bruins continue their Pac-12 schedule this week, heading to the Pacific Northwest to face Oregon State on Thursday at 7 p.m. PT and No. 20 Washington on Sunday at 2 p.m. PT. Both games will be televised on the Pac-12 Networks.
