UCLA Gymnastics Squad to Debut Dec. 15 at Meet the Bruins

The 2024 UCLA Gymnastics team will make its official debut at the annual Meet the Bruins showcase on Friday, Dec. 15 at 7pm in Pauley Pavilion presented by Wescom. Admission is free. UCLA Gymnastics is also hosting a food drive in conjunction with Meet the Bruins, with proceeds going directly to the UCLA CPO Food Closet.
 
The season preview event will give fans their first look at the 2024 Bruins. The squad features returning All-Americans in Chae Campbell, Margzetta Frazier, Selena Harris and Emma Malabuyo, along with 2020 Olympian Brooklyn Moors and former U.S. National Team members Emily Lee and Ciena Alipio. New faces on the team include freshman and 2020 U.S. National Team member Katelyn Rosen and Florida transfer and All-American Nya Reed. The Bruins are coming off a strong 2023 season in which they won a share of the Pac-12 regular season title and finished fifth at the NCAA Championships.  
 
The format of the event will be similar to an intrasquad, with team members showing routines on vault first, then uneven bars, balance beam and finishing on floor exercise.
 
Meet the Bruins will be broadcast live on Pac-12 Network, with Jim Watson and UCLA NCAA and Pac-12 champion JaNay Honest on the call.
 
Fans are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to donate to the UCLA CPO Food Closet prior to entry. All fans who participate in the food drive will receive two free general admission tickets to the Jan. 27 home opener against Washington.  
 
The UCLA CPO Food Closet, established in 2009, is an anonymous resource that offers food and other basic necessities to students and community members who are struggling to attain food or experiencing additional financial challenges. For more information, visit cpo.ucla.edu.
 
The 2024 season officially kicks off on Jan. 12. Details of that meet are to be announced at a later date. The Bruins' home opener is Jan. 27 against Washington at 6pm. Season tickets are on sale now HERE.
