Oregon State Notables
• Oregon State is meeting Michigan for the first time since the 2007 Corvallis Super Regional, which was swept by the Beavers, 1-0 and 8-2.
• The Beavers have won all four games between the teams dating back to 2002. Those two neutral-site games were played in Riverside, Calif.
• The Wolverines have scored eight runs in the four matchups while the Beavers have tallied 32.
• OSU is matching up with a Big 10 team for the third time this season, already having beaten Minnesota 6-4 and 6-1 in Surprise, Ariz., last weekend.
• Brady Kasper's two hits Friday pushed his hit streak to 11 games. He is 15-for-40 during the streak.
• Kasper, Trent Caraway and Micah McDowell have all hit safely in every game this season.
• Caraway is tied with Travis Bazzana for the OSU team lead with four multiple-hit games this season.
• Bazzana stole his third base of the season in the eighth Friday and now has 53 for his career. He's one shy of tying Jeff Doyle for third-most in program history.
• Guerra's home run Friday marked his first of the season and 15th by the Beavers this year. The 2023 Beavers hit their 15th home run in the ninth game of the season.
• His long ball marked the 13th of Guerra's career.
• Oregon State's pinch hitters are 3-for-9 this season with Dallas Macias going 2-for-2. He came off the bench to double home the Beavers' first run of the game on Friday.
• Oregon State is 31-27 when coming off of a loss under Mitch Canham.
• OSU is 5-0 in day games this season and 74-40 under Canham since 2000.
• The 13,038 in attendance Friday marked OSU's largest crowd in a non-NCAA postseason game since drawing 15,540 and 13,709 in back-to-back games in 2009 versus Oregon at then-PGE Park in Portland, Ore. OSU also had back-to-back games of over 10,000 versus Georgia at PGE Park in 2008.
• The Beavers' 23 strikeouts on Friday marked the program record for a single game, surpassing 20 against Nevada in 2019.
