Weekend Trip to the Boise State Classic

Mar 28, 2024

EUGENE, Ore. – Looking to build on last week's home win, the Oregon beach volleyball team travels to Boise, Idaho, for the two-day Boise State Beach Classic. The Ducks' four-dual weekend begins Friday at 1:00 p.m. (PT) against UC Davis, followed by a match against the host Broncos.

Oregon's matches against Boise State will be carried by the Mountain West Network, while its matches with UC Davis will be streamed on the BSU Twitch channel.

The Ducks snapped an eight-match skid with their 5-0 victory over Corban (March 21) at Amazon Park. At the top spot, Daley McClellan and Alina Valenti clinched the dual with a 21-19, 21-17 result. The UO team of Presley McCaskill and Isabell Patterson posted their team-leading fourth win of the season, an effort that doubled as the 10th-career victory of McCaskill.

The duo of Natasha George and Sophie Gregoire improved to 3-3 this season with their straight-set win at the No. 3 spot in the lineup.

Senior Ashley Schroeder is approaching a career milestone of her own, needing one win to reach 40 in her career. She would become just the second player in program history to reach that figure.

In facing either opponent, Oregon (2-11) is looking for the program's first wins against Boise State and UC Davis. The Ducks have faced UC Davis twice, both in 2019 and one resulting in a 2-2 tie. Against the Broncos, four of the past six meetings have been 3-2 decisions in favor of Boise State.

Boise State enters the weekend with a 19-8 record in 2024 and is receiving votes in the latest release of the AVCA national rankings. UC Davis carries a 12-10 record and split six matches at last weekend's Big West Challenge.
