Ducks Host UW in Top-25 Series
THIS WEEK
It will be a Top-25 matchup when No. 22 Oregon opens the month of April by hosting No. 9 Washington for a three-game series that begins Friday at Jane Sanders Stadium. The UW series will be broadcast on Pac-12 Networks.
BY THE NUMBERS

100 - Friday's game will be the 100th meeting between Oregon and Washington. The two teams first played on April 3, 1993.

CARLSON LEADS PAC-12 IN RBI
Ariel Carlson enters the week as the Pac-12 leader in RBI with 37. She's also second in home runs (9), fourth in doubles (9), third in slugging pct. (.373) and eighth in steals (10).
DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS
Oregon ranks third in the Pac-12 and 14th nationally in fielding percentage (.976). The Ducks also are second in the league in throwing runners out (8) and third in both ERA (2.77) and strikeout-to-walk ratio (1.91-to-1).
CARLSON MOVES TO TOP OF PAC-12 RBI LIST
With three RBIs last week, Ariel Carlson moved into the Pac-12 lead with 37. Carlson also ranks second in the Pac-12 in home runs (9) and third in slugging percentage (.737). She's also eihght in stolen bases with 10, making her the only player in the conference with nine or more home runs and steals. She's 14-for-35 (.400) in league games with five home runs and 13 RBI. She's also been walked six times and has four stolen bases. Carlson recently entered the UO career top 10 in home runs and is currently tied for fifth with 37.
SCOTT NAMED PAC-12 POTW
For her effort against Arizona State, including a complete game win, a save and a 0.00 ERA, Morgan Scott was named Pac-12 pitcher of the week. Over the three games, she threw 9.1 innings, striking out seven and walking none.
ELITE LEVEL DEFENSE
A hallmark of coach Melyssa Lombardi's program, Oregon is again one of the best defensive teams in the nation. The Ducks are 14th nationally and third in the Pac-12 and in fielding percentage (.976). Two years ago (2022), Oregon led the Pac-12 and ranked 10th nationally with a .977 fielding percentage. That mark tied the program record set the year before (2021).
GLOVE WORK
Oregon committed two errors in the season opener against Maryland and then had a stretch of 23 games committing one error or less. The streak ended when the Ducks had two errors March 16 at Utah. Oregon has 17 error-free games, 11 single-error games, three two error games and one three-error game so far in 2024.
