EUGENE, Ore. – No. 9 Washington dropped the series finale to No. 22 Oregon 6-4 on Sunday afternoon at Jane Sanders Stadium. The Huskies move to 26-7 and 10-5 in conference action.
Ruby Meylan (8-4) got the start, tossing 4.2 innings with three strikeouts. Sidne Peters came on in relief, shutting down the Ducks with no hits allowed and a pair of strikeouts.
Rylee Holtorf led off the game with a walk and a couple batters later, Alana Johnson sent her 11th home run of the season over the left field wall.

In the second, the Huskies added a run on an Oregon throwing error to bring in Jillian Celis from second to make it 3-0 for the Dawgs.
Oregon plated six runs in the fifth to take a 6-3 lead. All the runs were unearned.
The Huskies were able to load the bases in the sixth with one out but did not bring a run across. Peters and the Husky defense were able to keep the Ducks off the board in the bottom of the inning.
Brooke Nelson was able to beat out a single in the seventh to lead off. A couple of quick outs saw the Huskies down to their final out. Olivia Johnson singled to the outfield to put a pair on. Celis was able to work an 0-2 count to a walk to load the bases. The second infield single of the inning, this time by Sydney Stewart, brought in a run to make it a two-run game however the Huskies ended the game on a groundout.
Up next, the Huskies host Seattle U on Monday for the first-ever Bark In The Park at Husky Softball Stadium. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. and airing on Pac-12 Network.
