Four Seniors Recognized in Regular Season Finale

EUGENE, Ore. - Four seniors were honored before the match, with the No. 10 ranked Wildcats taking home the win. 

David Cierny, Ray Lo, Avi Shugar and Quinn Vandecasteele were all honored for their commitment to the program in the final home match of their collegiate careers.

Oregon got off to a strong start, as Quinn Vandecasteele and Matthew Burton picked up a 6-2 win over Arizona's Jay Friend and Colton Smith. Ray Lo and Lenn Luemkemann fell on court two, but Vlad Breazu and Avi Shugar teamed up for a 6-3 win on court three to secure the doubles point for the Ducks. 

In singles, the Wildcats showed why they're back-to-back Pac-12 champions, taking four in a row. Luemkemann dropped straight sets on court five, while Lo battled through two on court six. 

Vandecasteele lost his second set in a tiebreak to No 20 ranked Colton Smith, while Burton lost on court four to wrap up the match. 

David Cierny and Vlad Breazu were each in their second sets when the match concluded.

Match One vs. ASU
Avi Shugar and Vlad Breazu kicked off the match in doubles with a 6-3 win on court three. Despite their efforts, the Ducks handed over the doubles point dropping sets on courts one and two. 

In singles, Zian Vanderstappen and Vlad Breazu fell in straight sets on courts six and two. 

Matthew Burton earned the sole point for Oregon, with a 7-5, 6-4 win over Jacob Bullard on court three. 

Quinn Vandecasteele lost his second set to No. 9 ranked Murphy Cassone in a tiebreak, which secured the victory for the Sun Devils. 

Lenn Luemkemann and Ray Lo both went unfinished in their third sets when the match was clinched. 

The Ducks return to the court to face No. 10 Arizona on Sunday for their final home match of the season.
