Stanley Lin Leads Beavers On First Day Of Pac-12 Championships

CAREFREE, Ariz. – Stanley Lin shot a 7-over 149 over the first two rounds of play at the Pac-12 Men's Golf Championships, pacing the Beavers to a tie for seventh on Friday.
 
OSU, which finished the day at 45-over, was one of six teams to complete play. The rest of the field was unable to complete their second round due to lightning in the area of the Desert Forest Golf Club.
 
Lin netted just two birdies on the day, but also finished with an eagle. He shot a 3-over 74 in the first round at the par-71 course, and tallied a 4-over 75 over his final 36 holes. Lin enters the third round tied for 23rd.
 
Lin's eagle came on the par-5 16th hole in his first round of play.
 
Mateo Fuenmayor also finished with two birdies, and shot a 9-over 151 to back up Lin. He opened the day with a 4-over 75 in the first round, and backed that up with a 5-over 76. Fuenmayor is tied for 31st.
 
Nicolas Quintero tied Jackson Lead for the team lead with six birdies on the afternoon. Quintero posted back-to-back 5-over 76 rounds and ended the day 10-over. He is tied for 39th.
 
Lake, meanwhile, shot an 11-over 153. He opened the day with a six-over 77, ending it with a 5-over 76 in the second round. He's tied with teammate Rylan Johnson, who shot a 76 to open the day, then a 77 in round two. The duo are tied for 45th.
 
Alfred Raja enters the third round tied for 52nd after posting a 12-over 154, one shot behind Johnson and Lake. He opened the day with a 3-over 74. He, like Lin, finished with one eagle, on the par-4 14th in the second round.
