SEATTLE – No. 8 Washington softball picked up its 10th win over a ranked opponent to even the series against No. 7 Stanford on Saturday afternoon at Husky Softball Stadium, 3-1.
The Huskies improve to 31-9 on the season and 13-7 in Pac-12 action while Stanford falls to 38-11 (14-6 Pac-12).
Lindsay Lopez (10-2) got the start for UW, tossing her fourth complete game on her way to earning her 10th win of the season. Lopez allowed just four hits and one run while striking out five.
With bases loaded in the second, Rylee Holtorf hit a single out to left to give the Huskies a 2-0 lead, driving in Sydney Stewart and Avery Hobson.

Stanford made it a one-run game in the top of the sixth on an RBI single by Kyra Chan.
The Huskies responded right back when Alana Johnson led off the home half of the sixth with her 12th home run of the season to extend the lead back out to two. She has hit nine home runs in conference action to lead the way.

Washington has now hit a home run in 13 consecutive games dating back to game one against Oregon State on March 28, recording 27 homers over that span.
The Huskies and Cardinal will conclude the series tomorrow afternoon. First pitch is set for 12 p.m. and airing on Pac-12 Network with audio available on GoHuskies.com. Washington will honor its four seniors in a postgame ceremony - Jillian Celis, Avery Hobson, Lindsay Lopez and Brooke Nelson.
