Utah Athletics with 85 Student-Athletes Named to Pac-12 Winter Academic Honor Roll

Apr 29, 2024

SAN FRANCISCO – Utah Athletics saw 85 student-athletes recognized on Tuesday when the Pac-12 Conference released its 2024 Winter Academic Honor Roll. Utah's 85 total selections across seven teams were once again the second-most in the Conference of Champions behind only Stanford, who had 130 recipients from 10 different sports.

The honorees for Utah came from the sport of men's and women's basketball, gymnastics, skiing, men's and women's swimming and diving and indoor track & field. The Utah ski team led the way among the winter sports teams, taking runner-up honors at the NCAA Championships followed by a third-place finish from gymnastics – who made their 48th-consective appearance at the championship. Women's basketball advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the second-straight year while the Runnin' Utes played in the semifinals of the National Invitation Tournament (NIT). Both men's and women's swimming and diving saw multiple qualifiers compete in the NCAA Championships as well.

In total, there were 840 student-athletes honored by the Conference of Champions for their work in the classroom during the winter season. Track & field led the way for Utah with 22 honorees followed by women's swimming (19), men's swimming (14), ski (12), women's basketball and gym with seven each and men's basketball with four.
