USC Women’s Lacrosse Faces Colorado in Pac-12 Tournament Semifinal

LOS ANGELES – No. 21st-ranked USC lacrosse once again battles Colorado in the Pac-12 tournament, as they are destined for a semifinal matchup, after the Trojans bested the Buffaloes in the Pac-12 Tournament Championship last season. USC searches to mimick that successful as they face Colorado at 7 p.m. tomorrow at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum.

  • USC is 14-5 all-time versus the Buffaloes and recently hosted them during their senior day at the L.A. Coliseum. In that meeting the Trojans won 15-6. 
  • Against Colorado, head coach Lindsey Munday picked up her 150th career win. 
  • The Trojans previously won the Pac-12 Tournament Championship after besting the Buffaloes 12-6.
  • Lindsey Munday was selected as the U.S. Women's Sixes National Team Head Coach on Apr. 9. Munday will oversee this new version of play for the National Team, as her appointment will end in 2026. Sixes will be featured in the 2028 Olympics as lacrosse will make its Olympic debut in Los Angeles. 
  • The Trojans will play this season in two different venues, as their first five home games will be at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, Calif., while their final two home games will be at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum. USC will play these games offsite as its new stadium is under construction. The brand-new Rawlinson Stadium is set to open in 2025. 
  • USC finished out its first five games at Dignity Health 3-2 with wins over Hofstra, Temple and UC Davis. 
  • The Trojans claimed the 2023 Pac-12 regular season title and Pac-12 Tournament Title for the first time since 2019. 
  • Graduate student Ella Heaney became the first Trojan to ever win the Pac-12 Attacker of the Year award on Tuesday, Apr. 30. 
  • The Trojans had the most Pac-12 All-Conference selections, as they put four on the first team and three on the second team. First Team: Ella Heaney, Catherine Lord, Alexis Niblock, Isabelle Vitale. Second Team: Maggie Brown, Shelby Tilton, Claudia Shevitz. 
  • Heading into the season senior midfielder Claudia Shevitz was selected to the ILWomen Preseason All-American Third Team list. This is her second list to appear on as she was selected to the USA Lacrosse Preseason All-American Honorable Mention list alongside teams Isabelle Vitale and Catherine Lord.
  • USC is currently ranked No. 21 in the ILWomen/IWLCA week 12 poll.
  • Shelby Tilton recorded her 100th career point against Hofstra after a four-goal game. Tilton also ranks ninth in USC history for goals at 100. The senior picked up her 100th goal against California, as she spearheaded a come-from-behind victory. 
  • Senior Claudia Shevitz officially hit 100 goals with four against Colorado
  • Against Army, Ella Heaney recorded her 100th career goal and now has 138 goals in her career, which is the fifth most in program history. The graduate student also earned her 200th point against Arizona State.
  • Isabelle Vitale now ranks second in program history with 109 career assists. She moved into second place after her four-assist game against Villanova. The redshirt junior earned her 200th point against Colorado and is 13 assists from the USC record of 122.
  • Danielle Carson is tied for eighth in USC history with 96 ground balls and is 10th with 61 caused turnovers. 
  • Freshman Anna Regan is shooting up the standings in Trojan history for draw controls, as she has 114 in 16 games, which is ninth in program history. Against UC Davis (Mar. 16), the freshman tied the single-game mark with 17 draw controls in the contest. 
  • Freshman Lily Bunting picked up her first career goal against Colorado in the last matchup.
