TEMPE, ARIZ. – Redshirt senior Maya Brady went 4-for-4 with three runs batted in to help the No. 7 UCLA softball team to an 8-4 victory over Arizona State at Farrington Stadium Sunday afternoon.

The Bruins (34-10, 17-4 Pac-12) recorded 14 hits in the ballgame. Joining Brady with multiple hits were Megan Grant, Jadelyn Allchin and Savannah Pola who each went 2-for-4. Brady homered for the third time of the series in the top of the sixth and finished the game a triple shy of the cycle.

Freshman left-handed pitcher Kaitlyn Terry pitched a complete-game and picked up the win in all three games of the series. Today, Terry struck out three batters and allowed four runs on six hits. Terry's record now sits at 16-1 this season. She leads all freshmen in the Pac-12 in wins.

UCLA got on the board in the second inning with a string of three doubles. Taylor Stephens logged the Bruins' first two-bagger of the inning with a shot into left-center field. The next batter, Pola, followed with a fly ball into the same exact spot to trade places with Stephens and score the first run of the game. Brady then drove in another with a double to left field, stretching the lead to 2-0.

Catcher Jayla Castro recorded UCLA's fourth double of the game with a hit down the third base line to spark a two-run fourth inning for the Bruins. UCLA head coach Kelly Inouye-Perez called upon Ramsey Suarez off the bench to pinch hit for Janelle Meoño. Suarez picked up her second RBI pinch hit of the series on a hot shot to third base that zoomed past the fielder's back hand attempt. Grant brought home Meoño who re-entered the game to run for Suarez on a single into left center. Grant was tagged out between first and second base on the play.

Suarez is now batting 7-for-15 with six RBI in pinch-hitting situations this season.

The Bruins scored two more in the seventh inning on wild pitches by Arizona State reliever Mac Osborne. Allchin scored one of the runs after reaching base with a bunt base hit to leadoff the frame. Pola singled to right field and came around to score the second run of the inning.

Sun Devils starting pitcher Deborah Jones was the losing pitcher of record. Jones struck out seven and surrendered 13 of UCLA's 14 hits in her outing. Shortstop Alesia Denby homered for the third straight game off Terry in the fourth inning.

The Bruins head to the Pac-12 Softball Tournament at Smith Family Stadium in Stanford, Calif. as the No. 1 seed next week. UCLA will face either No. 9 seed Arizona State or No. 8 seed Oregon State in the quarterfinals on Thursday, May 9 at 4 p.m. (PT). The contest will be televised by the Pac-12 Networks.
