UCLA sophomore Adem Bona has been selected to participate at the 2024 NBA Draft Combine this week, hosted at Wintrust Arena and the Marriott Marquis in Chicago.

The NBA Draft Combine is scheduled to run through Sunday, May 19, with televised portions of the event taking place on ESPN2 on Tuesday, May 14 and Wednesday, May 15. Fans can watch combine activities this Tuesday and Wednesday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. (PT) on ESPN2 and through the ESPN streaming hub (available here).

In measurement testing on Monday afternoon, Bona registered a 40.0-inch vertical leap, the second-highest such figure among participants at the time of his agility tests on Monday in Chicago.

Bona, who has played in 66 games for UCLA the past two seasons, has averaged 10.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.7 blocks per game in his collegiate career. As a sophomore in 2023-24, he secured first-team All-Pac-12 honors and earned Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year recognition.

Bona scored in double figures in 33 of 66 total games over the past two seasons, logging at least 20 points in four games (all during the 2023-24 season). He ranks No. 6 on UCLA's career blocks list (115) and became the Bruins' first player with at least 50 blocks in consecutive seasons since Dan Gadzuric in 1999-00 and 2000-01.

Hailing from the Lagos, Nigeria, Bona arrived at UCLA in the summer of 2022 after playing his high school basketball at Prolific Prep in Napa, Calif. He twice secured Pac-12 All-Defensive Team recognition. He has an opportunity to become the fifth UCLA player selected in the NBA Draft since the summer of 2022 (Peyton Watson was selected in 2022, followed by Jaime Jaquez Jr., Amari Bailey and Jaylen Clark in the summer of 2023).
