May 14, 2024

SPOKANE, Wash. – The USC baseball team picked up a dominant win on the road Tuesday night, beating Gonzaga 15-3 in Spokane.

The Trojans posted their 15 runs on 17 hits as USC moves to 25-27 overall on the season. Gonzaga falls to 19-27 on the year.

The teams traded runs in the first inning, but from there the USC arms settled in and the bats took over. After trailing 2-1 after the first, USC scored the next 14 runs, including seven in the sixth to go up 12-2.

Five USC players drove in multiple runs in the game, including four RBI from Kevin Takeuchi. Takeuchi had two RBI doubles in the game, one in the second inning to give the Trojans the lead and one in the seven-run sixth inning.
