COLUMBIA, Mo. – Washington softball's season came to a close in the Columbia Regional following a hard-fought 4-1 loss against host and No. 7 national seed Missouri on Saturday night.
The Huskies finish the season with a record of 32-15.
Washington tallied six hits on the night led by Rylee Holtorf with two. Jillian Celis, Kinsey Fiedler, Sydney Stewart and Avery Hobson all notched hits.
Missouri got on the board in the second on a solo home run by Abby Hay. The Tigers added another run on the third off a home run by Jenna Laird for the 2-0 advantage.
With two outs in the fifth, back-to-back singles by Holtorf and Celis cut the Mizzou lead in half.

Missouri added a pair of insurance runs in the bottom half of the inning to bring the score to its eventual final.
