Pac-12 Play Begins In Los Angeles For Huskies

The Washington Huskies head into conference play this week carrying a four-game undefeated streak, having bested Seattle U 5-0 last week. Washington will head to Los Angeles to take on USC this weekend in the first Pac-12 action of the year. Over the last three games, the Huskies have outscored their opponents 9-2, with eight different Huskies scoring goals and five different Huskies recording assists.

Huskies Dominate In 5-0 Win Over Seattle U

A dominant defensive first half and an overwhelming offense in the second carried Washington to a 5-0 win over the Seattle U Redhawks Sunday. Five different Huskies scored in the game, including the first goals of the year for Kennedy Smith and Asia Brisco. Pascale Dumesnil, Sianna Siemonsma, and Ruby Hellstrom all also scored in the game.

Get To Know: Isabella Castro

After missing last year with injury, Isabella Castro has come back strong in 2018, making four appearances off the bench and helping the Huskies to wins over Fullerton, Portland, and UC Irvine. The Rocklin, Calif. native played 19 minutes against Florida in her first action in a year, then fired two shots in ten minutes off the bench in the 3-0 win over Fullerton. She has helped the Husky offense score 11 goals already.

Huskies End Non-Conference Season With Cross-Town Matchup

The Washington Huskies will finish their non-conference season this week with a game against the Seattle U Redhawks on the Seattle U campus. This will be the final game before Pac-12 play begins for the Huskies, with Washington sitting at 4-2-1 going into the week. Washington will look to continue their unbeaten streak against Seattle U: all-time, the Huskies are 12-0-0 against their cross-town rivals, including last year's 3-0 win on Montlake.

Late Goals By Hussen, Yates Carry Huskies To 2-1 Win

A dominating performance in possession led to a 2-1 Husky win over Utah Valley Sunday, wrapping up a perfect 2-0-0 weekend for Washington. Ameera Hussen and Summer Yates each scored in the game's final ten minutes to clinch the win for the Huskies, who controlled the ball for the vast majority of the match. Washington managed 22 shots in the game, its fourth consecutive game with over 15 shots.
