Freshman high jumper Nathan Patterson joins USC's stocked high jump squad which includes former NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Champion Randall Cunningham and 2018 Pac-12 Champion Earnest Sears III and is looking forward to competing with his teammates at the highest level.
The Trojans will be hosting the annual Out of the Blocks Track & Field Banquet at the Town & Gown on the USC campus, Sunday, Dec. 2 at noon. Last season's NCAA, Pac-12 and MPSF championships will be celebrated and the 2018 team awards will be announced. In addition, the 2019 Heritage Award winners will be honored and the 2019 USC track and field team will be introduced
Freshman hurdler Breanna Bernard-Joseph is looking forward to her first season on the USC Track & Field team, and hopes to contribute immediately. In 2018, she completed a standout body of work at Eleanor Roosevelt High School (Eastvale, CA) with a personal record 41.76 seconds in 300m hurdles that earned her a California state championship and proved to be eighth best high school time in the event nationwide. Now the 18 year-old has her sights set on helping the Trojans to both a second consecutive Pac-12 Championship and National Championship. She will be competing primarily in 400m hurdles for Troy.
Junior transfer middle distance runner Isaiah Jewett is in his first season of eligibility at USC and is confident he can build upon a breakout 2017 sophomore campaign at UC Irvine and a strong year of development and training in 2018.
