Four Pick Up Wins in Season Opener

BETHLEHEM, Pa. Cleveland Belton, Matthew Olguin, Trey Munoz and Brandon Kaylor picked up opening day wins but the 19th-ranked Oregon State wrestling team dropped a 20-13 road decision to No. 26 Lehigh on Saturday morning.

Belton opened the contest with a win in the 141-pound bout opposite Lehigh's Malyke Hines the 22nd ranked competitor in the class to get the Beavers on the board first. The host Mountain Hawks took wins at 149 and 157 to flip an 0-3 deficit to an 8-3 advantage before 24th-ranked Olguin won the 165-pound match with a 12-2 decision to bring the Beavs within one at 8-7.

The two sides split the next two 174 and 184 as Lehigh kept the one-point advantage at 11-10. Sixth-ranked Munoz took a 7-3 win over No. 14 Tate Samuelson to snap a slight skid for OSU.

Wins at 197 and 285 all but secured the opening day victory the Mountain Hawks. Seventh-ranked Kaylor finished the dual with a 5-3 win for the Beavers.
