Pac-12 Wrestler of the Week (Feb, 17, 2026)

By: Pac-12 Conference

Maximo Renteria, R-Sr., Oregon State (Clovis, Calif.)

For the fourth time this season, Oregon State’s Maximo Renteria was named Pac-12 Wrestler of the Week.  Renteria becomes the fourth grappler in conference history to claim this honor four times in his career and the first to do it all in one season.  He is the first Oregon State wrestler to win the award four times and trails only Stanford’s Shane Griffith (five) for the most career weekly accolades in Pac-12 history.  This is also the fifth time this season an Oregon State athlete has been honored, one short of Little Rock for the most in the conference this season.

Renteria closed out his final home wrestling bout with a 9-4 win over No. 21 Ezekiel Witt of North Dakota State. Renteria got just about all the points he'd need over the first two rounds. He went up 3-2 in the first, then scored five points in the second before riding time gave him the 9-4 win. He now has 18 victories on the year with seven coming as ranked wins.

ALSO NOMINATED: Stephen Little, Little Rock; Koda Holeman, Cal Poly
