For the second time this season, Cal Poly’s Ceasar Garza was named Pac-12 Wrestler of the Week. Garza previously won on November 25th of this season, joining Little Rock’s Matty Bianchi and Oregon State’s Maximo Renteria as multiple time winners this season. It’s the third straight year that a Mustangs’ wrestler has claimed this award multiple times with Zeth Romney having achieved it in each of the previous two seasons.
In Saturday's 28-16 dual victory over Duke, Garza at 184 pounds earned a dominant 21-5 technical fall victory at 4:24 over David Hussey. Garza, ranked 18th in the country, secured six takedowns in the match, improving to 13-2 this season and 5-0 in duals.
