2018 Pac-12 Women's Basketball Tournament: Stanford advances with 69-59 win over USC

SEATTLE — Kiana Williams scored 18 points and Alanna Smith scored 14 and No. 16-ranked Stanford never trailed in a 69-59 win over Southern California in a quarterfinal game of Pac-12 Conference Tournament Friday night.
The Cardinal (21-9) entered the tournament as the No. 2 seed and USC (20-11) was seeded seventh. Stanford will play on Saturday the winner of another Friday quarterfinal matchup between No. 3 Oregon State and No. 6 Arizona State.
DiJonai Carrington scored 13 points, Marta Sniezek added 10 and Kaylee Johnson grabbed 10 rebounds for Stanford.

Stanford led 21-9 at the end of the first quarter and was never in jeopardy. Sadie Edwards' jumper with 1:20 before intermission made it 32-24 before Williams made two foul shots before the half.
The Trojans managed to draw within six points - 57-51 and 59-53 - in the fourth quarter but never got closer.
Aliyah Mazyck led USC with 22 points, Minyon Moore scored 12, Jordan Adams, 10 and Kristen Simon grabbed 12 rebounds.
