Pac-12 announces Wrestler of the Week

• Valencia went an impressive 4-0 on the week, helping guide the Sun Devils to their first 8-1 start since 2007.
• Opened the week with a win over Ohio State’s Gavin Hoffman, 19-5 at the Covelli Center in Columbus, Ohio.
• Valencia and the Sun Devils made history Saturday as they hosted the first college wrestling event at a professional ballpark with a quad meet at Chase Field in Phoenix. He opened the quad meet with his seventh fall of the season as he defeated Harvard’s Michael Doggett (2:55), then followed with back-to-back major decision defeats over No. 15 Andrew Morgan of Campbell and Nol 14 Marcus Coleman of Iowa State.
• With his second win on Saturday, Valencia surpassed Anthony Robles to set the record for most career bonus-point victories in program history with 93.
• The two-time defending national Champion is 17-0 this season, with 16 of his 17 wins coming by bonus points.
