In a First Four battle that came down to the wire, Arizona State knocked off St. John's, 74-65, to grab its first NCAA Tournament win under Bobby Hurley and its first NCAA Tournament win in 10 years. Luguentz Dort led the Sun Devils with 21 points on 6-of-11 shooting, while Zylan Cheatham had 14 points and 10 rebounds to earn his 14th double-double. ASU moves on to round one of the West Regional to face No. 6 seed Buffalo on Friday. Hurley served as head coach of Buffalo for two years and took the Bulls to the 2015 NCAA Tournament.
