Cal's Reece Whitley earns Pac-12 Men's Swimming Freshman of the Year honors after a strong performance at the NCAA championships this season. As a high school student, Whitley was named National High School Swimmer of the Year in both 2017 and 2018 and earned team MVP honors from eighth through 12th grade. In this year's NCAA championships, Whitley finished in fourth in the100 breast with a time of 51.11, making him the No. 3 performer in Cal history.
