The two-time national qualifier earned his first victory over a ranked opponent this season (No. 14 Matthew Schmitt (West Virginia), Dec. 2-1), then helped lead the Roadrunners to their first win over a ranked opponent since they beat Oregon State on February 7, 2016 with a 20-13 win over No. 22 Stanford. The redshirt senior is ranked 20th in the country entering the week, and is now on a five-match winning streak since placing fourth at the Southern Scuffle.
