Washington State men's basketball defeated Washington 79-67 Sunday night at home to secure its 14th win this year, and highest single-season win total since the 2011-12 campaign. CJ Elleby had a career-high 34 points for the Cougars – the most by a WSU student-athlete in an Apple Cup matchup since Klay Thompson scored 43 in 2011; Elleby also racked up added 10 rebounds. Washington has now lost its last six games, marking its longest losing streak under Mike Hopkins.
