The Oregon State Beavers begin their postseason journey with a 2-1 victory over the North Dakota State Bison Friday night in Corvallis. The opening game of NCAA regionals for the Beavers was highlighted by stellar pitching and clutch power hitting. Andrew Moore got the start and threw the best game of his career, striking out a career-high 14 batters. The 14 K's also were good enough to set the Oregon State postseason record for most strikeouts in a game. The clutch hitting came from Dylan Davis who blasted a solo homer in the bottom of the seventh to give the Beavers a lead they would not relinquish. Oregon State moves on to play UC Irvine Saturday at 8 p.m. PT.
