Colorado men's basketball held off in-state rival Colorado State by a final of 56-48 in Fort Collins on Friday night. The defense led the way for the Buffs, as they held the Rams to just 12 points in the first half. Colorado State roared back in the second half, however, pulling within four points with three minutes remaining. But clutch free-throw shooting in the final minute allowed Colorado to survive the upset bid. Shane Gattlin led the way with 20 points and Lucas Siewert added 12 as the Buffs improved to 8-2 on the season.
