The Arizona Wildcats defeated 11th-seeded Ole Miss 5-2 win in Game 1 of the Tucson Super Regional on Friday at Hillenbrand Stadium. Malia Martinez came up big for the Wildcats, driving in three runs and going 4-for-4 on the night. Pitcher Taylor McQuillin allowed five hits, walked four and struck out nine batters in a complete-game. Arizona advances to Game 2 and is now just one win away from ending an eight-year World Series drought.
