Utah men's basketball held on to defeat Minnesota 73-69 on Friday evening in Salt Lake City. The Utes opened this contest on a 16-0 run which was led by sophomore guard Both Gach who went into halftime as the Utes' scoring leader with 10 points. Gach and sophomore forward Timmy Allen finished with a team-high 19 points, while Allen notched a double-double adding 10 rebounds to his stat line. Utah moves to 3-0 on the season.
