The Washington Huskies are advancing to the Women's College World Series for the third straight season after defeating Kentucky 5-0 in Game 2 of the Super Regionals on Saturday. Gabbie Plain pitched seven innings, tallying just two hits and a total of eight strikeouts, setting a new career best with a 31.2 IP scoreless streak. The Huskies will advance to their 14th WCWS trip in program history and seventh under head coach Heather Tarr.
