Kaitlyn Lim’s second-inning grand slam was enough for Stanford softball as it held off Utah 4-2 in the series opener at Smith Family Stadium. Ellessa Bonstrom drove in both runs for the Utes—an RBI single in the third and a solo homer in the sixth. Alana Vawter was the winning pitcher for the Cardinal, allowing two runs over six innings. Regan Krause picked up the save by pitching a scoreless seventh.
