Pac-12 Networks' Rich Burk takes a closer look at No. 20 Oregon baseball's rivalry series-opening 4-1 victory over No. 18 Oregon State on Friday night in Eugene. The game was a pitchers duel through eight inning with Oregon's Robert Ahlstrom (7 innings, 1 ER, 9 Ks) and Oregon State's Kevin Abel (six innings, 1 ER, 8 Ks) each turning in strong starts. But Oregon State's bullpen cracked in the 8th inning. With the bases loaded, Oregon State relief pitches walked two batter and hit another to force in three runs and give Oregon a comfortable lead. Kolby Somers pitched a perfect ninth to earn his fifth save of the year and win it for the Ducks.
