Jadelyn Allchin hit a go-ahead two-run homer in the sixth and Pat Moore tossed three scoreless innings in relief as No. 7 Washington rallied late to beat California 4-2 in the series opener in Berkeley. Makena Smith broke a scoreless tie in the fourth, giving the Golden Bears a 1-0 lead with a solo homer off Gabbie Plain. Kennedy Thomas added an RBI single, but Madi Huskey matched it with an RBI single for the Huskies in the fifth and Allchin gave UW the lead in the sixth. Baylee Klingler added an insurance run later in the frame with an RBI single to center.
