Recap: Stanford clinging to lead over Cal, ASU through Day 3 of Pac-12 Men's Swimming Championships

Day 3 of the Men’s Pac-12 Swim Championships kicked off with Arizona State freshman Léon Marchand taking first place in the 400-yard Individual Medley with a time of 3:34.45, the fastest time in the country and second fastest time in history. Stanford’s Andrei Minakov went on to take first place in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 43.90, the fastest in the country. ASU won their second race in the 200-yard freestyle with Grant House finishing in a time of 1:30.23. California’s Reece Whitley defended his 100-yard breastroke title with a time of 51.30 and his teammate Björn Seeliger won his second event of the meet, taking first place in the 100 Backstroke with a time of 44.72. The day wrapped up with Stanford winning their second relay of the meet, taking first in the 400-yard medley relay with a finals time of 3:01.45.
