UCLA head coach Mick Cronin sat down for an interview with the Pac-12 Conference's Andy Katz ahead of the Bruins' season-opener against Long Beach State Wednesday night. Cronin was confident that the effort from his team will be there from Day 1, saying "you're going to see us compete, there's no question about that". He also broke down the expectations for new players like Tyger Campbell and Shareef O'Neal, sharing that O'Neal's attitude is "off the charts". Cronin also said that he'll rely on returning redshirt senior guard Prince Ali to limit mistakes on his young Bruins team. Catch UCLA's first game of the year Wednesday night at 8 p.m. PT / 9 p.m. MT on Pac-12 Network.
