Megan Faraimo, who became the first Bruin to throw two no-hitters in the same season since 2015, earns Pac-12 Freshman of the Year honors for the 2019 campaign. Faraimo, who becomes the third consecutive Bruin to win the award, ranks second in the Pac-12 in ERA (1.31), and her strikeouts per seven inning ratio of 8.63 is fourth-best among all Pac-12 pitchers. She also ranks fourth in the Pac-12 in opposing batting average, helping UCLA to a league-leading 19-2 record in Pac-12 play.
