Get To Know: Claudia Longo

Claudia Longo may not have seen action on the field in 2018, but she still quickly made herself a valuable part of the Husky team. Longo came to Washington fresh off a state championship in high school, earning KingCo Offensive Player of the Year in 2017. She played in the High School All-American game and was an All-State First Team performer as well for her excellence on the field. During her high school career at Issaquah, Longo played alongside current Huskies Anna Miller and Kaylene Pang.

Get To Know: Trinity Paulsen

Trinity Paulsen is a Husky through and through: she even grew up with a pet Husky named Dawg. Before making her way to Washington, Paulsen was an All-League selection at Hockinson High School, leading the team in goals and assists every year of her career. As a freshman in high school, Paulsen even set the single-season goals record for Hockinson. She enters 2019 with her first season as a Husky in the books, ready to contribute.

Havana McElvaine Named Marshall Scholar

University of Washington alumna Havana McElvaine, Class of 2017, has been selected as a Marshall scholar, one of the highest honors available to college graduates in the U.S. She plans to attend the London School of Economics and Oxford University.

Get To Know: MaKayla Woods

After an amazing high school career, MaKayla Woods made her mark with the Huskies as a freshman. Woods worked her way into form as the season went on, earning three appearances in Pac-12 play. Against Arizona State, Woods played a season-best 25 minutes and scored her first goal on the first shot of her collegiate career. She will enter 2019 ready to provide energy and scoring touch to the Husky attack.
