Huskies Hire Nicole Van Dyke To Lead Women's Soccer Program

University of Washington athletic director Jennifer Cohen announced today the hiring of Nicole Van Dyke as the next head women's soccer coach at the University of Washington. Van Dyke, who becomes the third head coach in program history, spent the last five seasons leading the Ivy League's University of Pennsylvania after a four-year stop at Stanford.

11 Named To Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll

The Pac-12 Conference announced the Academic Honor Roll for fall sports today. 11 Huskies were named to the Honor Roll: Isabella Castro, Shae Holmes, Lisa Jensen, Claudia Longo, Cassidy Lucht, Vanessa Millsaps, Kaylene Pang, Laura Roberts, Taylor Sekyra, Olivia van der Jagt, and MaKayla Woods.

Pang Named Scholar All-Region

Washington's Kaylene Pang was named to the United Soccer Coaches' Scholar All-Region Team today. Pang had already been named to the All-Pac-12 and All-Region teams for her play on the field before earnign this academic honor.

Huskies Advance On Holmes Goal

In the first-ever postseason edition of the rivalry, the four-seed Washington Huskies defeated the Seattle U Redhawks 1-0 on Shae Holmes' first career goal. The win pushes the Huskies on to the second round, set for next weekend in Tallahassee, Florida, against South Florida.

Gallimore, Yates, Pang Earn Pac-12 Awards

The Pac-12 Conference announced its end-of-the-year awards, with three Huskies earning honors. Lesle Gallimore was named the Pac-12's Coach of the Year. Summer Yates earned All-Pac-12 Second Team honors, while Kaylene Pang earned a place on the All-Pac-12 Third Team.

Husky Crosstown Derby Comes To The Postseason

For the first time since 2014, the Washington Huskies will host the NCAA Tournament. Washington will face crosstown rival Seattle U on Saturday at 6:00 pm in the first round of the tournament.
