League favorite WASHINGTON led the way with four selections on the Pac-12 Men's Soccer preseason all-conference teams as selected by the Conference's coaches ahead of the 2023 campaign.

Eight of the 11 selections appeared on one of the 2022 All-Pac-12 teams, led by First Team honorees and UW midfielders Kalani Kossa-Rienzi and Christian Soto. That duo was joined by Husky defender Nate Jones, a Second Team All-Pac-12 pick last fall, and goalkeeper Sam Fowler.

OREGON STATE landed three on the team with midfielders Javier Armas and Dante Williams as well as forward Ellis Spikner earning spots. Armas was a second-team performer and Williams earned honorable mention accolades in 2022.

UCLA has defender Tommy Silva and midfielder Tucker Lepley on the team, while CALIFORNIA's Wyatt Meyer and STANFORD's Shane de Flores also earned spots on the preseason XI. Silva and Meyer both earned Second Team All-Pac-12 status in 2022, while de Flores made honorable mention.

The Pac-12 also saw five individuals named to United Soccer Coaches Players to Watch lists ahead of the season, four of whom made the league's preseason team - UW's Fowler, Kossa-Rienzi and Soto, UCLA's Silva, along with San Diego State's Alexander Levengood - a transfer from William & Mary.

The Pac-12 has been the country's top-rated men's soccer conference each of the past two seasons according to the NCAA RPI. In 2022, the Conference had three top-10 seeds (#2 Washington, #5 Stanford, #8 Oregon State) among its four teams in the NCAA Tournament, just the second time in league history with a trio of single-digit seeds (2013). The year prior in 2021, the Pac-12 had the nation’s top two teams in the RPI (#1 Washington, #2 Oregon State) and the top two seeds in the NCAA Tournament (#1 Oregon State, #2 Washington).

The 24th season of Pac-12 Men's Soccer kicks off with non-conference play beginning Thursday, Aug. 24, followed by Pac-12 action starting on Thursday, Sept. 14. Currently, 33 matches are set for broadcast on Pac-12 Networks with additional matches to air on Pac-12 Insider, the free broadband streaming channel from Pac-12 Network.
