Buffs Get Ready For Big 12s

BOULDER - The 7th Annual Big 12 Conference Golf Championships will be held at Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa, Okla., this coming Monday and Tuesday, April 28-29... Colorado enters the meet tied for No. 41 in the country in the most recent Golf Coaches Association of America poll, but are outside the top 80 in the Golfstat and Golfweek/Sagarin rankings... This is the first Big 12 meet that won't be held at Prairie Dunes CC in Hutchinson, Kan., which was also the site of the last five Big Eight Conference championship meets... CU finished eighth in the league meet in 2002, snapping a string of four straight top five finishes, including a pair of third place finishes in 1998 and 2000... Monday's competition will feature two rounds with a shotgun start at 7:00 a.m. (MDT) off the 1st and 10th tees, with Tuesday's final round also set for a 7 a.m. MDT start... Colorado is paired with Iowa State and Nebraska the first day and starts on No. 10 at 7:50 a.m.... Southern Hills is a 7,016-yard, par-70 layout (Prairie Dunes was also a par-70 track).
