See you at football media day: USC's Marqise Lee

Jul 23, 2013

Lane Kiffin and his coaching staff have a big season ahead to prove they can surpass their 2012 record of 7-6. Luckily for Kiffin, he has one of the best wide receivers in the nation, junior Marqise Lee, to help the Trojans rebound from a disappointing season. Following the 2012 season, the Los Angeles native was the first Trojan to be presented with the Biletnikoff Award, an honor given to the nation's outstanding college football receiver by the Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation.

If you're wondering what exactly propelled Lee into the national spotlight, his stats from last year are hard to debate with. During his 2012 campaign, he finished with 1,721 yards on 118 receptions and 14 touchdowns. More than half of those those 2012 receptions (63 of 118) were for first downs. His impressive season earned him a unanimous selection as a first-team All-American in addition to Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year honors. Don't worry, he's also earned a top spot on the 2013 Biletnikoff Award preseason watch list.
