TEMPE, Ariz. – Arizona State University senior forward Devin Marshall was named the Pac-12 Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, according to an announcement by Pac-12 commissioner Larry Scott on Tuesday.

Marshall was named MVP of the recent Sun Devil Classic in which she helped lead the Sun Devils (4-1 on the season) to a 4-3 double-overtime win over Illinois on Friday and a 4-0 win over Kansas on Sunday.

Marshall tallied four goals on the weekend, tying her single-game career-high with two in each game, and assisted on teammate Cali Farquharson’s game-winning goal in the 107th minute of Friday night’s win over Illinois.

Marshall, who has scored five goals in ASU’s last three games, currently ranks 15th in the nation (tied for second in the Pac-12) in goals per game (1.0) and is 32nd in the nation (tied for 3rd in the Pac-12) in points per game (2.2).

With her four goals on the weekend, Marshall, who has now scored two goals in a game five times in her career, moved into eighth place on ASU’s all-time list with 21 career goals. She needs two more to tie Antoinette Marjanovic (1997, 99-01) for seventh place.

Winners of their last three contests, the Sun Devils return to action this weekend when they travel to Tucson, Ariz., to take on Texas Tech (Friday at 4:30 p.m.) and Southern Utah (Sunday at 11 a.m.) in the Cats Classic.
