Stefan McClure Out for Season with Knee Injury

BERKELEY – Sophomore cornerback Stefan McClure will miss the remainder of the 2013 campaign after injuring his knee during last Saturday’s game against Washington State.

McClure had started each of the team’s first five games this season and is the team’s third-leading tackler with 30 stops, while adding a team-high five pass breakups and 1.5 tackles for loss (-5 yards). He also had his first career reception for 11 yards on a fake punt.

McClure has played in 16 games with seven starts during his collegiate career that began at Cal in 2011, compiling 54 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss (-10 yards), one interception that he returned eight yards, seven pass breakups and one fumble recovery.
