Hardy Nickerson Out for Season with Foot Injury

BERKELEY – Freshman linebacker Hardy Nickerson will miss the final two games of the 2013 season after injuring his foot during last Saturday’s game against USC. Nickerson was in his first campaign of action at Cal after redshirting as a true freshman in 2012.
Nickerson played in each of the team’s first 10 games in 2013 with eight starts and is the team’s co-leader with 64 tackles. He is also second on the club with 5.0 tackles for loss (-16 yards), while adding 1.0 sack, one pass breakup, one quarterback hurry, one fumble recovery and one forced fumble.
