Utah

Former Utah quarterback Alex Smith will give a commencement address Thursday night at the University of Utah, with which Kurt Kragthorpe of the Salt Lake Tribune believes Smith is sure to inspire Utah graduates.

Washington

The Windermere Cup, a dual-race rowing competition between Washington and Great Britain, will go down Saturday on the Montlake Cut, and Gregg Bell gets unleased on how the British best fits the grand Windermere Cup.

UCLA

Nice feature from the LA Times on former UCLA (and Colorado, and Washington) head coach Rick Neuheisel excelling in a different medium working as an on-air talent for Pac-12 Networks. He already has a Sports Emmy nomination for his efforts.

Stanford

BYU men’s volleyball has gone 3-0 against Stanford this year, but the teams’ meeting in the NCAA semifinals will provide Stanford with a fourth opportunity to beat BYU. First serve is at 4 p.m. PT and the match will be streamed live on NCAA.com. Also, this is from earlier in the week, but I suggest you read this USA Today Q&A with David Shaw.

Arizona State

Interested in the progress of the renovation of Arizona State’s football stadium? Wednesday was your lucky day then, because that’s when Sun Devil Athletics unveiled a stadium construction camera. Here is the stadium camera itself.

California

It turns out that former Cal QB Zach Kline is transferring to Butte College rather than Oregon State. He had said in December that he was going to be a Beaver, but instead he’ll hope to be the next great QB out of Butte. (Remember Aaron Rodgers?)

Oregon

Sports Illustrated puts the spring spotlight on Oregon running back Byron Marshall. Dude ran for more than 1,000 yards last year despite missing almost two full games.

Washington State

How ‘bouts we take a video tour of Washington State football’s new weight room?

Colorado

With a foot injury halting a solid junior campaign, Colorado women’s basketball player Jasmine Sborov looks for a healthy and productive senior year with the Buffs.

Oregon State

Sure sounds like some time at home gave Oregon State linebacker Michael Greer perspective. He had to return home to Palm Springs last year to raise his ACT score by at least three points (and did so by five).

Arizona

As the Arizona athletic department valedictorian for 2013-14, distance runner Erin Menefee has aced her college experience. She boasts a 3.97 GPA at Arizona.

USC
