vs. LHP Kyle Crawford (2-1, 1.66)

STANFORD, Calif. -- Stanford plays its final home game of the year Tuesday evening when Pacific visits Klein Field at Sunken Diamond for a 5:30 p.m. tilt. The matchup starts the final week of the season in which Stanford also travels to Utah for a three-game series.

The Cardinal looks to continue its push towards the NCAA tournament with a strong final four games. Stanford has won seven of its last 10, including three straight Pac-12 series wins to move to the postseason bubble watch.

“I know that we are competitive (in the postseason race) because our RPI is good,” said Mark Marquess, the Clarke and Elizabeth Nelson Director of Baseball. “Because of that we have a chance. It’s just a matter of other factors that are out of our control. You can’t tell where the RPI will end up, you can’t tell which teams are going to be automatic bids and which aren’t, so I just have no clue on that.”

Stanford (26-23, 13-14 Pac-12) will send right-hander Brett Hanewich (2-4, 3.93) to the mound Monday against lefty Kyle Crawford (2-1, 1.66). Hanewich has started 12 games for Stanford, while spending much of the season in the weekend rotation.
